| AS FAR BACK AS HE CAN REMEMBER, Henri Loiselle has had a passion for singing. To this day, it is that passion that he brings to every concert that leaves a lasting impression with his audience and is reflective in the feedback and reviews. Henri started performing at St. Peter’s College in Munster, Saskatchewan under the direction of Alphonse Gerwing who was to become mentor and lifetime friend. He had many “teachers” – Mario Lanza, Patsy Cline, Leonard Warren, to name a few – who influenced his love of music and are apparent in his concert repertoire. While studying opera performance at the University of Toronto, Henri received training in vocal technique from internationally acclaimed opera performer the late Louis Quilico .He toured with the Canadian Opera Company and has performed In Concert extensively across Canada and into the US. Henri was a Regional Finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Competition and studied and performed in Chiari, Italy with the International Institute of Vocal Arts In conjunction with touring and performing, Henri farmed near Saskatoon and became affectionately known throughout the prairies as Saskatchewan’s own Singing Farmer. |
